What is pH, and why does it matter?
The pH scale ranges from 0 to 14 based on how acidic or alkaline something is – anything below 7 is acidic, while a number above 7 is alkaline (or basic). A healthy external vaginal area, or vulva, has an acidic pH. The acidic nature is important to your body’s natural defense and maintaining a good environment for a healthy external vaginal area. That’s why it’s so important to use products formulated to complement the natural pH range of your external vaginal area.
What are the different types of intimate odour?
We all have our unique scent. It's natural. But there are factors that can create external odours that you may find unpleasant. The vulva has sweat glands just like the armpit, and sweat bacteria leads to odour. Bodily fluids including menstrual blood, urine, and semen also create external odour.
